Frequently Asked Questions
Welcome to the Nordic Business Forum Live FAQ! Using our live stream is very simple. On this page, you will find everything you need to know to make your live stream experience smooth and enjoyable.
What is the Nordic Business Forum Live Stream?
Our Live Stream Service is our native viewing platform. When you buy a license to access the broadcast, you are able to watch the full conference, including interviews with the speakers from our Live Stream Studio directly from the seminar hall and also for 30 days on demand after the event.
What is a "season pass"?
Our season passes are live stream licenses that give you access to all our online content for a particular year. For example, our 2019 season pass gives you access to our high-quality, live broadcasts from all Nordic Business Forum events in 2019.
Please note: Your season pass is renewed for the following year automatically, but it can be canceled within the 30-days cancellation period. Most of the keynotes are also available on-demand for 30 days after each event.
When is this happening?
With the Nordic Business Forum Live, you can watch:
What do I need to be able to watch?
You do not need to download anything to view the live stream. The video plays automatically in your browser.
You need a minimum of 10Mb/10Mb Internet speed for clear video quality, check at http://www.speedtest.net. For best results, we recommend that you use an Ethernet cable to connect to your internet during the live stream. Wifi works well too, but an Ethernet connection will be much more reliable. Please note that Nordic Business Forum is not responsible for any data connection charges related to your viewing on mobile devices or from alternative platforms or services. Please be aware that we are not responsible for data connection charges to view the stream on any platform or service.
You can test the live stream one day before the event. We will be broadcasting both live and recorded material from the venue on 25 September, from 14:00 to 15:00 EEST.
How do I log in to the Live Stream?
When the event begins, you can log on to our Live Stream platform at https://live.nbforum.com/login/ using your login details. Your username is the email address that you used to buy the license. You will also have created a password when you made your purchase.
If you have lost your password, you can change it here »
Help! I have lost my username or password.
Your username is quite simply your email address, so have a look through your inbox to see which email address has the confirmation email from your order confirmation.

What are the differences between the license types?
We have two types of season passes: individual and community.
Individual Licenses are meant for private viewings by one person (only). This license gives you the flexibility to watch the live stream from anywhere with a steady internet connection.
Community Licenses are intended for two or more people watching the broadcast. You need this license if you’re watching with a group of friends, customers, employees, colleagues, students, etc.
Please note: only one device can connect to the live stream at a time.
Nordic Business Forum reserves the right to cancel your purchase without a refund if you violate the terms of your license or if we detect any misuse.
I'm organizing a Community License event. How does it work?
We have tried to make everything simple and intuitive. If you run into problems, we have prepared a Community License manual for additional information.
Can I buy my license in advance? How do I access the show on the big day?
Yes, and we encourage it! We recommend that you purchase your Live Stream license ahead of time to avoid the virtual line (yes, even on the internet, there are queues).
If you’re prepared with your login information, all you have to do on the day is head to live.nbforum.com, sign in to your account, and start watching the broadcast. If you’d like to test it, you can connect a few minutes before the show to test the connection. Our Live Stream Customer Care team is able to help you troubleshoot any issues that come up.
I'm having problems with the live stream, help!
If you have problems with the live stream broadcast – such as slow, unsynchronized sound and picture, black screens, lagging audio, or other problems – please try switching to alternative broadcast channels. These problems may be the result of a slow internet connection or technical issues with the player.
In the lower righthand corner of the video player, you will see a drop-down list of broadcast streams and camera angles to choose from. Our official broadcast has three channels, labeled A, B, and C. Try switching between them to see if the problems resolve themselves.
If the problems persist, please contact our customer care chat.

Additional features included in your live stream license
Presentations on demand
Most of the presentations will be available for 30 days after the event. The on-demand videos will be available within 24 hours after each seminar day. The on-demand videos will appear on live.nbforum.com/nbf/on-demand/ and you can access them with the same login as the live stream.
We encourage you to make the most of your live stream experience and revisit the presentations after the event.
Networking on the live stream
You may network with other live stream viewers and chat with them online through Brella, a networking app. This platform provides a wonderful opportunity for you to meet each other virtually and arrange meetings and discussions. Brella is very easy to use, and you can also start using it ahead of the event to make the most of it.
Here’s how Brella works:
Sending questions to the speakers
Anyone watching the live stream may send questions to the speakers through our Nordic Business Forum event app.
Multiple camera angles
You can navigate manually between different camera angles during the live stream. For most live stream event watchers, we recommend that you follow the official broadcast. It will give you the best, uninterrupted view of the stage.
If you have multiple screens available for the live stream, you may want to show additional camera angles in addition to the official broadcast. To do this, navigate to live.nbforum.com on another browser tab/window and select your another camera angle. You can then move that tab or window to the monitors that you have at your disposal.
Simultaneous interpretation in Finnish or in Russian
The event is held in English. If you need to provide your attendees with simultaneous interpretation in Finnish, they will be able to access it with their smartphones and headphones.
When you log in to the live stream platform, navigate to the “Interpretation” tab. Here, you can find passwords, which you can give your participants so that they can access the Finnish interpretation. You may share the URL of the “Interpretation” tab together with the password with those of your attendees who need the translations when the event begins.
To access the interpretation, your attendee needs:
- a smartphone with a wifi or data connection
- the external link to the interpretation audio feed, and access password
- headphones to hear the interpretation
To watch the live stream with the Russian interpretation you need to register at “Watch Live Stream” page, find “Select Camera Angle” -> “Official broadcast RUS”. Please note: if you have an event with community license, the organizer needs to decide which language will be shown to the audience (the “Official broadcast” in English or the “Official broadcast RUS” with Russian translation audio).
A while ago, we introduced virtual reality as an additional way to follow the NBForum Live Stream. At your live streaming event, it is possible for you to have ONE virtual reality headset attached to our live stream. This can work as a demo booth for live-streamed virtual reality.
To access our virtual reality live stream, you will need a virtual reality compatible mobile device and headset. You can read more about this and compatibility at live.nbforum.com/virtual-reality. The 360° live stream is available under the “Watch Live Stream”.
IMPORTANT: Please note that you can access our live stream with only one virtual reality device. Attempting to log in on two devices will end the sessions on the device which on has logged on the live stream first. If this happens, just log in again. The system will always terminate the oldest session to make room for the new session.
Is the live stream available on mobile devices?
Yes, it’s available on all platforms including mobile devices, and you can access it just as you would on a computer. Navigate to live.nbforum.com, log in using your account details, and start streaming as usual.
If you do not have a license, you can make purchases through our webshop on a mobile device too! After that, all you have to do is log in to live.nbforum.com.
Please note: the video stream may not work on Windows phone devices.
